Window slams shut

So the Window has closed and has seen the arrival of the two Kyles (one now out on loan), Crouch, Bassong and as revealed yesterday Nico from Portsmouth.

What do we all think of the Window? I have to say I'm pretty pleased. I would have liked an upgrade on Crouch but he showed how he can cause chaos when needed. Kyle Naughton has the making of an excellent right back and we managed to jog on Chimbonda. Darren Bent also left in a deal worth up to £16 million quid so that as a good bit of business. I still think we could have done with a top quality central midfielder as we have no natural cover for Wilson if he is injured or suspended but at least Jenas is still here so we don't have to rely on Huddlestone all season.

What are other people's opinions? I think it's been a pretty good window.

Petrov here for Medical and Bentley rumours

Martin Petrov has flown down to London on Monday to discuss terms and a medical with Spurs according to sources on SO and SC. He would provide cover on the left and booster the midfield alongside the signing of Nico from Pompey. The Citeh forums are quite upset at the prospect of him going but I only really see him as cover on the left for Modric.

There are now three strong rumours that Bentley is finally being jogged on. The Bin Dippers in the red side of Liverpool have supposedly made a bid but I don't believe they have the cash. Villa and Citeh are supposedly the other clubs involved according to info from SC and FTL. If true we maybe able to recoup the cash we spent on him 12 months ago.
