Robben coming in?

Rumours from COYS still persist that the Robben deal is not dead. Robben is happy to return to London and Levy was spotted in Madrid only a couple of weeks ago. Apparently the fee is not a problem although it would be interesting to see if Robben could be accommodated in our existing wage structure.

Robben has been working with a fitness coach recently so he is ready to take part in pre-season and be raring to go for the start of the season. Still only 25, his signing would be a major coup for Redknapp and Levy if this is true. I wonder myself as we cannot offer any European football next season, let alone CL.

Take him or leave him really - on one hand he's a great player, on the other he's a twat.

I would wet myself if that happened. He's been one of my favourite players for a long time, even before Chelsea signed him.

Other than that, whats the point of that advert above advertising Soeul with the chance of meeting ManUre players. Is there a better reason not to go to Soeul? This is meant to be a Spurs blog right? who are the target audience???

Would love it to be true but alas will not happen, at least you are trying to be positive and aiming high, more likely to go to CL side which if fancies london could put him in Goon territory

he's a great player but on the other hand hes inury prone & he's a dutch tosser.. Theres so many Downing bashers but why!? Hes young, got a great left foot & he takes players on, im sure the general yid consensus will change pretty quick, specially if we get him in at under 10mill

They were in Madrid to sort out the Juande Ramos compensation with Sevilla.
There has been no confirmation of any bids.

The guys a mercenary t**t. Hasn't his dad ruled out a move to us anyways? I reckon we should look at what we've got already.. just a couple of tweaks.. 3 x players like 'Arry says.. Left Side, Striker (bent out, Chenko to stay with some sprint training!) & a replacement for JJ to play with Wilson.

Please, please no Crouch.

Would love to see Robben at the Lane, but it won't happen. The Dutch produce wonderfully gifted players but they also come with the supreme ability of anger and crying. As for Downing, I wouldn't mind his arrival but not for £12.5m as being touted today. I hope this is incentive based as anything above £8m is too much. Has everyone forgot he was part of a team that was relegated. He also wasn't that teams best player, yet we are willing to pay silly money for him. Transfers to and from Premiership clubs make no sense. Why are we going after Downing when Johnson is available for £2m?

I hear Robben is not coming, its not anything to do with money, or european football.

He just wont be seen dead in that new kit

I would like to see a couple of changes... a left midfielder if we really need it, and a proper back up for King/Woodgate. Those who think that Redknapp will get rid of Bent just because, for some reason you don't like him, should continue burying their heads in the sand.
