Heskey if we can't do better

One of the more reliable ITKs has been in his tree house and has reported back to FTL that lots is going on down at Spurs lodge. One of the more depressing facts is that Heskey is definitely on assuming we can't get anything better sorted. To go from Berbatov to Heskey would be a total disgrace. Spurs would be a laughing stock and I hope it would be the end for Levy. The master of spin believes we have spent a fortune recently but fails to note that until we splashed some cash on the Russian and Corluka we had made a profit on transfers. He also fails to mention he is about to receive £33 million for Berbatov.

How we have resorted to desperate signings when we all knew Berbatov wanted out months ago is disgraceful and tells us all what we need to know about Comolli and Levy.

Seconded....
Heskey is a donkey, we all know it.
Yes he's done OK for Wigan, a very mediocre team.
We have also missed out on milito, he's gone to Genoa.
I thought we had a deal wrapped up and in waiting for berba to leave for him and garcia.
oh well.
bent and pav ftw
lol

A very damning & accurate description of Mr Levy's inept handing of a ridiculous situation. I can only hope that common sense will prevail before midnight & that Heskey will remain many miles away from the Lane

Heskey would be a masterstroke. Sod all you so called fans who think they know football. Heskey is a perfect signing. Solid, dependable, international class (we ripped the Germans apart thanks in large part to him) and could play tomorrow without any worries. 10 times better than signing some foregner who looks good on paper then dont fancy it when he gets booted in the prem.

As a third or fourth choise striker you WONT do better.

Three more signings before close of play - Heskey, Diarra and Garcia.

Milito is over rated and would not have fulfilled our expectations. Garcia is 80/20 decided on coming to us, although real betis are trying hard to nab him.

As for Heskey, i cant see what the board are thinking as he is hardly the perfect exponent of the "beautiful passing game" he is a little more suited to the dreaded long ball... so we wait to see, but better sign him than no one at all... right?

Can't believe they seriously consider Heskey, what happened to our ambitions? If this isn't a twisted joke, I'll put some serious thoughts of putting the boots on the shelf and get into the game of female ice hockey instead. Heskey?? I could possibly have been ok with it, had I been behind a team looking to fight for their survival in division 3. No offence, though, Heskey, you're a big kid, I'm a small one

We're not likely to be in for Heskey and if we are it will be for far less than what we get for Berbatov as a temporary, experienced replacement with a bigger name to be targetted later. To suggest Levy should leave given where we are altogether now and our expectations compared to prior to his arrival is insane.

Ashton is a hit & miss player, we've had all summer, and if we can't sort it out and end up with Heskey and berbs goes to utd expect a lot of piss taking Big time.

You lot are insane!! Heskey is just the right type of player we need. Hold up the ball, good in the air, runs the channels well and can contribute goals... Just because he currently plies his trade at Wigan doesn't make him a "donkey"... What short memories you spotty kids have... This is a player who has played at the top class international and club game, with a wealth of experience to pass on to a young and progressive squad... Long live LEVY and the board... COYS

He is an England international, not a regular goalscorer but someone that plays with his heart and gives 110% each time he gets on the pitch and is loyal. You say sack the board but it's this board that has given us this belief that we are a team that can break into the top four. I've been a yid for 22 years and i can't remember many seasons where i thought we can win a european trophy and challenge the elite in the Premier league. Look at Liverpool was that a good change in board. We have made steady progress over the last few years, have a good management team in place, we would be silly to change things when things are so on the up. COYS
