Lots of Problems

Another farcical display from Spurs led to another defeat and with the Chav's away next week it doesn't look like we are going to get a good start to the season.

I can't be bothered to dissect too much but I really do start to wonder why Giovanni played on the right and Bentley played on the left. Bale looks very short on confidence and Bent is not up to the job.

One juicy bit of gossip coming out of WHL officials via SIMB is that Berbatov was actually picked today but failed to turn up. Could be rubbish of course.

Daniel Levy, we need two strikers, a centre back and a defensive midfielder by September 2nd or it's season over.

Agree...poor showing and no spine/structure to the TEAM!

Patience with RAMOS as I feel he is tied by the Berbotov situation and is finding it very hard to persuade obtainable high class players.

880 quid (again) looks like hard hard season ahead.

Stick with it Spurs

Bentley played in the hole not on the left. Berba is one who let us down today, he's a disgrace. He could have least signed off with a goalscoring match winning performance. I agree with the signings that neeed to be made

COULDN'T AGREE MORE ITS A SHAMBLES,BERBATOV AND KEANE ARE A JOKE! FOR DESTROYING SPURS SEASON BEFORE IT EVEN STARTED.BUT ARE THE BOARD ONLY GETTING WHAT THEY DESERVE AFTER THE APPALLING TREATMENT OF JOL.I THINK WE MAY GET GET RELEGATED.

Relegation seems a bit much but hey you never know. At least we will get some Sky sports air time with the 'battle for relegation' super sunday! LOL

No on a serious note, I am fed up with the crap that I am seeing and do feel let down by Keane and Berbatove, its becoming more apparent that they have had a real negative impact on the start of our season. On a plus note things could possibly get better??? Heres hoping. Chelski away will defo mean no points until at least after international football. Which lets not get started on that!! Watching England is like watching Spurs at the moment!

Berba did let the whole Club down, he will never be classed as a Tottenham great, just an ungrateful git.

We should of had a replacement for Keane sorted a week ago and let alone sortng out replacing Berba.

Money needs to be spent and D. Comolli needs to get of his french ass and do his bloody job.

Still carnt believe the Berbatov issue is still around. Lets get the money and buy another striker, but more impotantly a defensive medfielder. We again looked expsoed. When Huddlestone came on, it gave Modric more freedom and cretad more. DL and DC tske note.
Also heard that the french git DC is off after the transfer window

MC Smiler- Bentley started in the hole but was moved to the left when Huddlestone and Dos Santos came on. Bale moved to left back, Huddlestone played DM and Jenas moved up into the hole, and scored from there.

I'm guessing 880 quid is the price of anon's season ticket. Mine was £860.

We didn't have the movement today, or against Middlesborough, to score goals, despite our superior possession and good technical ability. We lack the physical strength to compete. It looks like we're trying to play fantasy football, by picking skilful players but not providing any cover. We desperately need a top quality defensive midfielder, but I don't think we're going to buy one.

Also, we continue to leave ourselves vulnerable to the counter-attack by pushing too many people up to try to take advantage of Bentley's excellent delivery at set pieces.

Bent will be fine as soon as he gets a goal or two, but until our movement improves, we won't get enough chances. With Chelsea away next, and then Villa at home, it looks like it could be an even worse start than last year.

I'm trying to keep the faith but it's hard when the football we're playing seems to be so unpragmatic. I'd love to see the Glory Game player, but the top four all have defensive midfielders. Spurs had one of the best in the 60s- Dave McKay. Who are we playing in this position now? Jermaine Jenas. That is why we're having problems. I don't blame the lad. He got a couple of good tackles in today and is giving it everything, but he just doesn't have the strength, and he was shrugged off the ball several times.

Come on you Spurs!

Ramos will see us through this rough patch. It's obvious that the balance in the team is not there.
I do believe that Spurs have agreed to sell Berba, BUT at our value. i do not disagre with this, if Man U want him. They should have to pay at least 25 mil.
Difficult situation for everyone. What Berba did today was unforgiveable.

Stick with Ramos and we will come through this path, better off. Just need right players, playing in their best positions.

when are we going to stop letting that C*NT Ferguson ruining Spurs when it looks like we are starting to have a great side?
Sheringham at his peak, Carrick ( proof - Zokora ), even a half interested half fit Berbatov is better than the sh*thouses I saw today.

Ramos was building a team around Keane & Berbatov, and whilst Berba has never looked truly content, Keano's departure was a shock to all, including probably himself. That said, even with these two in the side, we were not that great last season, so unless you move them on, you work with what you have got. With Keano gone in body & Berba gone in mind (he will never play for us again imo) this jigsaw puzzle of a Spurs side is just a collection of pieces that needs putting together rather smartly, except we hav'nt got all the pieces yet (Striker, DM & CB at least)so expect a season of stress & anxiety unless we do some more business in this transfer window.

things are really bad..the team was all over the place.berba needs to go quick.i believe deal with manure already done but DL does not want figures out yet due to price of ramos targets going up. are we all being over emotional about king , 60k per week and today will probably be his only game for a month now.. we need somone else alongside woody, two decent strikers, defensive midfielder.why play gunter all pre-season and not at all since???

Far to many changes at the club over the last 3 years, were shooting ourselfs in the foot.
Why wasnt Gunter played today? why buy these young players if they never play?
why play Bale at left midield, hes a left back
why pay £32m for Bently and Modric when we need a new Carrick and King.

Love ledly to bits, but surely we gotta contact his insurance company, 60k a week and i bet he plays no more than 15 games this season, i bet hes insured for £20m if he has to retire due to injury.
were fcuked without a midfield dynamo, truely fcuked.
Chelsea beat us next and Villa turn us over, the press will hond Ramos out, you just watch.

After two games you are jumping on Ramos's back. I bet you were the same supporters that jumped on Jol's back this time last year after the best two finishes Tottenham have had in years! Surely it is about giving the manager a few years like Wenger, Ferguson and Moyes. Lets see what Ramos does in the transfer market before critising a man of his potentials.

Defending Ramos and blaming Berbatov and Keane is really missing the obvious. Berbatov was always likely to go and his/their creditable displays last season still did not lift us out of mid table.

Since Ramos has arrived our league form has been ordinary at best and pretty much everyone knows why and has done for some time; we have no heart in this team. A recent blogger posted "ask the wizard for a heart" and he was spot on.

Millions for a Villa or a Arsluchenko solution would be better spent on getting the best defensive midfield enforcer we could and building the team around them.

Why Comolli, Levy and Ramos cannot see the bleeding obvious which every letters page and blog has written about since we lost Graham Roberts is beyond me. The best effort was Davids we only got one season before his back legs went, but the idea was right.

We will not stop this rot with forwards we had the best squad of strikers in the worlsd last year and we out-scored nearly everyone only to finish mid table....... Hello THFC? Is anyone awake?

We barely won a tackle in midfield, in fact Jenas failed to do his defensive job on the first goal. We need a tackler/ball winner to put balance into the side.
Re Berbatov, while being frustrated, we have to acknowledge that he wanted out and in the course of the summer Spurs management has ignored the situation.
I agree with an earlier posting- there is too much change and we fail to build on strengths- almost starting afresh each season.
