Berbatov to AC Milan

Latest rumors from COYS and FTL point to a deal being agreed to sell Berbatov to AC Milan this afternoon.

Earlier today Berbatov and his agent had long talks with the top brass at Spurs and two different sources are now claiming a deal has been tied up with the Italian giants. No one is mentioning the fee but moving out of the Premiership is probably the best we could hope for once he decided he was off.

Reliable sources on the two forums have been saying for weeks now that Berbatov had made up his mind to leave and all attempts to get him to stay failed.

good riddance, grumpy cunt! and take that fat twat of an agent with you!!!! I recall another talented yet grumpy player who played in the premiership, his agent ran his life too, and he has now ended up on the Chelsea subs bench via a turkish hell hole and even worse...Bolton. If Berbatov wanted champions league football, why didn't he try putting in a bit more effort for the first few months of the season??

I'm sick and tired of reading about Baby-Berba and the "is he isn't he" stories.

If he doesn't want to commit 100% to our cause, then he can get lost.

Let's get rid and move on.

Agree it's time all this spec was dealt with, bores you rigid. Shame to lose him but Ramos will have a packet to spend now. I just hope we can bring in a player with the same love for the club as Robbie - we need an honest player up front who doesn't disrupt the dressing room... Here's hoping Milan it is then!

I have to say - I hope that he stays abroad after this and doesn't wander back to the premier league this side of 30.

Unless he joins us. Again.

Great player, great great touch, poor attitude, terrible effort.

I'll miss the Berbs of 06/07 not 07/08.

Perhaps we'll get money off our season tickets?

He is what you would consider a star player so when he is not part of the new kit launch you don't need to be ITK to work out he is off.

or, rather than cheaper season tickets, we'll get Kaka in exchange?

I want to laugh - but I can't.

Guys i think we already have another striker who is honest and would be spurs through and through like Keane if we gave him a chance..i think you all know who im on about!

Darren Bent.

the ITK peeps are now saying Berbatov is also our clubs webmaster and this is why it is currently down right now.

Was thinking about Bent earlier, the board have been adament he's staying which is good, and I like his attitude, honest & a good pro. I just think he lacks creativety... Who can we seriously consider as a good replacement, realistically??

Berbatov says he wants champions league football? AC milan arent going to qualify for the champions league. Thats just his reason for wanting to leave for more money.

If we keep selling our best players, then we'll never get better. so why do we even bother trying to get better?

James
We should make an example of Berbatov, and force him to rot in the reserves for the rest of his contract, n ruin his career. Show that we cant be messed around by players.

I was annoyed with Berbatov from pre-season, his attitude started badly and then got worse. He did Jol no favours whatsoever and although I love the player I became sick of the whole will he wont he nonsense very early. Th ecup final was a high point and I thought perhaps it would kick-start some kind of future with us for him, but his heart was set on moving and the bad attitude remained. Often I wonder how he can be so disrespectful to his team mates when often he is just as guilty for not delivering. He has missed numerous clear cut chances and you could easily accuse of him of being more guilty because by sulking and often not really trying, he disrespects the fans aswell and all we ask first and foremost is to give 100%
I'm genuinely pleased he's going, I'm pleased he played for us and gave us some nice moments. Berba I salute you but cant help but feel somewhat let down.

'happy darren'

"I hit the post and the keeper made a couple of saves but as long as I'm getting in the team to score the goals, I'm happy," insisted Darren. "If Berba was staying I'd be more worried.

"The most important thing is the win though and I felt I contributed to it.

Look, its bad enough that the media persist in their attempts to kill the game by making sure the top 4 dominate every season by tapping up players like Berbatov, they don't need any help from Spurs websites.

Ledley is in the new kit promotions....

Maybe he was out on the lash the night before as per normal, or picking up his arthritis prescription?

To the guy who said AC Milan aren't going to qualify for the Champions League - they are back in 4th place in Italy now idiot!

Berbatov would be excellent in Italy and just what is needed at Milan. The Ronaldo experiment has failed miserably, and it looks like the top brass have been put off Ronaldinho (thank God). Playing for a truly big club, Berba could become a hero!

I've said it before, we arent a one man team. Modric will do everything creative that Berbatov done and link up with Keane to create and score goals. Difference is, he'll work hard and defend in midfield. Sell Berbatov (Keane is every bit as good by the way) and get a proper out and out striker (or give Bent a chance.) Our biggest problem with Keane and Berbatov is the fact that when Lennon gets forward with pace, with Berbatov and Keane dropping off, we have nobody to keep up with him and get on the end of crosses. Eto'o or Villa would be a dream and if we can't get them then how about keep Bent and sign Kenwin Jones? They both have great pace and power and would allow players like Keane and Modric to drop off and link the midfield up. Why do people complain about the poor crossing when we dont have anyone to really attack a cross? How many times does Berbatov miss headers in front of goal? This is a big part of the game we lack in and the sale of Berbatov will be a blessing. Sell him to Milan (my supported Serie A team) and get Gattuso to pair with Modric in centre midfield. Sign a left winger like Mcgeady or Capel and an out and out striker like Jones.

berba great player but we can survive without him. I like the idea of us playing a 4-3-3 system with the current back 4 with jenas modric and gattuso in the middle of the park lennon on the right (if he gets his crossing sorted) either McGeady or Capel on the left even Keano and an Etoo Villa or even Kenwyne Jones upfront. With the right motivation it think this team could break into the top 4. A team without berba and still quality experience youth pace and power.

If Berba comes back to the lane with another team, I'll be the first to give him a rough reception. Mind you, Berba himself has never said hes going to leave, its all his fat agent. I think we should hold back on the insults towards him til hes left, then let them rip, n dont ever stop them.

Look at the reception we giv to Campbell, n he did more for the club than Berbatov ever did. So surely IF Berba leaves, he receives a worse reception than Sol.

^Well i don't think Berba will run down his contract then go to Ar5ena1 for free do you? Obviously Judas will always get the worst reception possible.

I think everyone needs to stop bigging up Modric. I mean, he's meant to be a quality player, but give him time to adapt, please. Dont do what spurs fans always do, and i have been guilty of it myself, and when we sign a big name player, who isnt good strate away, n dusnt score a hatrick in his 1st game, just slate him, n moan n say hes shit etc. Better players than Modric have come to them prem and either not been good atall (Sheva), or taken a while to git in. anyone remember how crap drogba was? and essien? and ballack? we wouldnt be shouting what a waste of money at drogba now.

He's not commited to the club, only came out and said so, when the jan transfer market was about to close, to reassure fans that he was happy. Not saying anthing at the moment either you want to stay and commit, or you dont, he's off! Team will be more focused as a result

Great player Berbs, but how many flash flicks and outrageous chips and outside of boot curlers failed to come off, when a simpler option might have been a goal?

27 goals in 66 League games. Many against the weak teams, often anonymous.

Would still like a buy back option, but the main concern is price. I heard £25m quoted, similar to Micah Richards, Daniel Alves & Etoo. Berbs is at his peak age, not a fading 31 year old. We should get a Madrid V Milan bidding war with a reserve of £35m.

shame he had developed such a good understanding with Keano. However, David Villa or Mario Gomes is more like it the replacement we need. I worry the prices will rocket and we will scape round for another Rasiak. especially if blooody red agent Comolli is involved!

Lads, stop jumping on Berbatov - he came, he did what he is paid for and he is looking for new opportunity. If you are not happy that he lifted Tottenham's game, helped Keano to improve, baged 46 goals and 30 assists in two season with the crappy midfield we have, then you must have been blind to miss all that! Nobody says he's the best or even near that, just ne did his job and did it well. He wants out - there he goes - life is life and Tottenham forever!

Players should show more loyalty. Utd had the chance to sign berba a year before we did, but decided they didnt want him. Now he goes crawling back to them. I hope if he plays against us next season, he leaves the lane with nocks n bruises where Ledley has given him a good kicking for bein a mercenary bastard
