Bid accepted

Hertha Berlin has accepted a five million pound bid fo Kevin-Prince Boateng. The midfielder is 20 and was voted Germany's best young player in 2006. He has scored 4 goals in 86 appearances and appears to be competition for Zokora as the holding player. Kevin-Prince Boateng has yet to discuss terms with Spurs but FTL confirms that his agent will be in London at the weekend.

It was thought Boateng was heading for Sevilla but their bid was reject as it was about half what we are willing to pay. The BBC has quoted Boateng as saying:

"The Premier League is my dream league and now I am thinking about Tottenham."

We shall see if it all comes off but if it does it will take our spending to around £40 million, although some of this expenditure is spread over a few years. Where this leaves Tom Huddlestone is also an interesting talking point.

seeing as Huddlestone is a completely different type of player it wont affect him at all.

Spending is around £35 million, spread over a period. When you consider the carrick cash, its not that extravagant at all. The tenner we get for ghaly should also make it look better.

If true this will be a great signing. He will add much need steel to the midfield. I don't think it willaffect Thud at all, but will most likely signal the exit of murphy, Tainio, ghaly etc.

i would think that this could see ghaly and murphy leave more than tom huddlestone!

Now that's interesting we have a Prince and a King at the club..

The season transfer had been the most amazing for us.I don't remeber a more productive summer in my support of the club.

The transfers have been simply spot on so far.Adding Bale, one of the best young talents around for a position we have been screaming for class for so many years.

Sorting our 4 strikers by adding the best young English talent available.Yes that's a big statement. But I sure Bent will be a big hit a la berbatov.

Bringing depth to our core of central defenders by adding Kaboul next.I'm sure Davies will sign too.So at both end of the pitch we have real quality to match the so called top 4.

Next the "accessories", a midfielder to freshen up the squad.
A great propsect in Boetang, someone Inter was looking at as a replacement for Figo.Brilliant.We have guamsuap Inter twice this season (the other being Kaboul)

What will happen to Huddlestone ?Shape up or ship out.Fergie once said Man U is a ship who wait for no man.My beloved spurs should do the same.

If not for Man U beating us to the signature of Nani, you could say this could been a dream summer for all of us !!!

I think management is looking at finally closing our summer shopping by adding that elusive left winger.Other than Duff, I don't know of a good option.Maybe Dyer or Bentley who are naturally right sided.

I don't fancy SWP but would not complain if he comes.

Does anyone know if this guy is left footed or can play on the left side of midfield?

who was the muppet who said drenthe next week, his off to Real.

Anyway Price the ghetto kid plays right-back/right midfield, so if u actually check facts I would say what does this mean for Pascal or is he going to be backup for Lenno n or will Lennon go on the left, then again Adel T has played on the left last Saturday....

we must now have the largest squad in the prem!!!

time for Ghaly, Mido, Wayne, Murf the Smurf to go?

He is not a right back so stop saying so!!! Some muppet on Vital Football said that a few weeks back to start a thing about Chimbonda to Chelsea and you wont find anywhere else saying he's a RB so quit it! I believe we may see a formation similar to 2 seasons ago, Bale up and down the left like Lee was, with a midfielder tucked in like Davids was (Zokora or Boateng or Tainio) with a holding player behind Jenas (wouldn't surprise me if King is played there or Huddlestone in his absence - maybe even Kaboul who apparently can play defensive midfield too but we'll see) This see's us not neccessarily needin a left winger, although I would still like to see another wide option if Routledge isn't in Jol's plans and we are to sign somebody else than this Nene could be the one. Very left footed but can play right aswell.

He's is difficult to find videos on! Finally found a small snippet here though. He had one good touch, I get the feeling this guy could have a similar attitude to Mido, lets hope he behaves himself!

What am going to say??? Levy want the title , even a treble. No doubt with Kevin-Prince_Boateng our squad will be top 3 rated , but i can bravely say we will win the title.

who ever said that huddlestone is a completely different player is a clueless plonker tbh.
Huddlestone is crap, he has no pace, no engine, no attack to offer, and is too slow to break up play. he is a defensive based midfielder, much like the Prince once he signs for us. he will battle zokora.

HE IS A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER.. not attacking. stop loading up your champ man to get your impressions on new signings that u know nothing about

I for one hope Ghaly doesn't leave i think he is a clever player, should he be treated like this due to one mistake that he has appologised for?

8:30 PM, July 12, 2007

Anonymous Anonymous said...

No - Ghaly should not be treated like he has been for one mistake... he should be treated like any other one-paced, no flair, non creative player and sent to Brum.

And why is Murphy playing in pre-season in place of a player that will still be with us at the start of the season? Shop window? He will be off to Sunderland/Wigan/Birmingham. What is certain is that he will be playing in the Championship in 2008/9.

Drink the long draught down

Big Prinz!
He is not (appreciated)!

Don't these signings look good?
Taraabt, Bale, Bent, Kaboul and now this chap.
All young, talented and seemingly well sought after but choosing the mighty spurs.
I don't think Big Tom will be moving on before many others who must now feel surplus to requirements.

haha £40 million spent and where the f*ck is the left winger eh martin? £16.5m and £8m coverin 2 positions we are perfectly fine on considerin the strikers totaled 60+ goals last seasona and we already got rocha and tony! £5million spent on a position where we also need a player most, he shud think about spending big n centre midfield and left wing, absolute fucking joke!
