Three off as Spurs take a point

Phil Dowd was the star of the show as Blackburn and Spurs cancelled each other out and took a point each. Still no open play goal from Spurs on the road though.

In the first half I thought Spurs were the better side but that wasn't saying too much. Blackburn took the lead through a wonderful Tugay strike but never really threatened apart from that. We attacked resonably well but the final ball was always lacking and Mido's shooting was absymal. In the second half Phil Dowd took control of the game by awarding a penalty for a Tugay trip of Ghaly. It was a penalty but then Dowd flashed the red card which was a poor decision to say the least. Defoe took the penalty well and it was then all set up for Spurs to push on. I was annoyed we didn't make the ten man advantage count once again and we actually allowed Blackburn to pressure us and they looked more likely to score at the end. Dowd decided to put himself in the lime light again for sending off Ghaly in stoppage time as he jumped with his arms in the air. Joke. Try jumping without using your arms. He did lead with it but had turned his back by the time he and the Blackburn player clashed. The ref produced the red card and was told by Jol that he had got it wrong so he sent Jol to the stands as well. What Jol should have said was that Dowd was a fucking useles piece of shit who had made wrong decision after wrong decisions all game for Spurs and Blackburn! Both teams should make a complaint about this incompetent fool.

I suppose the point was a fair result to both teams but Hughes had his special brand of "Arsene Wenger" glasses on when he claimed it was never a penalty and Blackburn should have won easily. Twat.

COYS!

wow, you guys are really benefitting from some cheating refs arent you?
How much you paying them again?
First the Zokora cheatery which deservedly follows him forever until his retirement then the Graham Poll trickery and now this Mido and Dowd show.
They say it evens out at the end of it all and you will be the loudest whiners when it does.
DO NOT WHINE WHEN YOU IT IS YOUR TURN TO BE BENT OVER!

LIVERPOOL FOREVER!

This referee is totally out of his depth, there should be a review of the standard of refs in the prem. Only one has stood out for me this season. Howard Webb. Common sense and calm. And no desire to be the centre of attention. Spurs played far better than at Reading, and should have won. Mark Hughes is a pillock.

7.43 you are a fool

So because you think the Mido incident was a handball we don't deserve a penalty for Tugay bringing down Ghaly in the box ? Muppet !

Great analogy dickhead.

The thing is if you'd actualy watched the replays after the game on Sky you would have seen that Mido chested the ball.

I can undertand your concerns with your own team playing shite and coming on a Spurs blog to interact with football fans as your 'pool friends are all illiterate and not capable of reading or writing.

You sad little prick, go and get a job you Pikey Scouse CUNT

Jol I'm afraid is losing it.When we are leading against Chelsea he opted for a attacking formation when we are PROTECTING a lead.If not for the post, we could have lost that lead.On Sunday, he opted status quo when we got a great chance of snatching a win...He substituted Defoe who had a better game than Mido while Mido is just one yellow card away from dismissal.

I think the pressure is getting to him.I'm also beginnig to feel that the form of the strikers are partly down to his mismanagement.

4 strikers struggling for form.Astonishing...

As for the Liverpool supporter,I understand your frustration, one of your mate says we are likely to challenge one another for 11 or 12 place.

Premiership contenter ? get a life scourser.Stop buying so many spanish flops and hope Rafa stop talking up your chances. Its embarrasing. You lot is a deluded bunch living in past glory. Still thinking Man U is your main rival...please...they have moved on.You can't challenge them anymore other than at the odd game when Stevie G turn up.

Anyone realize that we have been conceding the same "type" of goals?

1) Long range efforts with no midfielders closing them down.Risse, Campo,Tugay, Barry and even reading left back.

2) Crosses from the right which Ekotto could not blocked.Portsmorth,Liverpool and Blackburn

3) We seem to pat ourselves on the back whenever we are able to avert attacks into corners, when corners are one of the most frequent results of goals conceded.Chelsea,Bolton

Why can't we weed out all this mistakes ?

Here are the facts: It was a pen, tugay was the last man, the ball hit mido's chest we had more shots on target and off. Our away form:the tide will turn these efforts will go in hopefully starting at taliban towers

A couple points/questions:

Anyone, including Mark Hughes, who claim Mido used his hand is blind. He CLEARLY uses his chest to bring the ball down.

Why does Ghaly get a 3-game ban while Too-gay gets only a one-game ban?

Is Eketto an improvement over old Erik Edman at LB? I think we've not improved at this position as much as Jol thinks we have. (Also desperately missing Chimbo on the right!)

Why did Jol sub Davids at the half? Was he injured? Cuz Eddie was actually playing well, setting up Mido who missed that sitter. Which brings up another question: Why was the clearly agitated and yellow'd Mido not subbed instead of Defoe, who was actually tracking back for a change? Strange tactics from Jol, who's pattern of substitutions is a bit worrying.

Lastly, piss off scousers. Your team is performing as bad as ours, so I wouldn't throw too many stones from your little glass houses at the moment.

To all you spuds: Give it up. What a poor and pathetic life you lot lead. You're the laughing stock of London and the premiership, and all of Europe and the World for that matter. When I need a pick-me-up, the first place I turn is a spuds board or forum. "Striving for mediocrity" should be your motto. I can't wait until your joke of team is embarassed at the Emirates by proper footballers.

If you are a arsenal fan.You will not win the premiership for the next 10 years as long as Man U and Chelsea is there. You have enter the stage where we are 20 years ago.Play grand football but never winning anything other maybe the odd cup.

Chelsea...ok...you got the money but we got the fans...you can't killed our spirit.

Why do you lot bother replying to the plebs who spend time on our site slagging us off when it's obvious that if they had nothing to worry about they wouldn't bother.

Look at the big picture. We're a much better team than we have been for about 15 years, we're flying in europe, leading the group, just been made favourites ahead of seville, our home form is solid and we've loads of young and exciting talent coming through and although not all our recent buys have hit the ground running we can all see they're class and it's just a matter of time. We're not that many points away from top 6 so I see nothing but positives. I reckon we're one world class creative central midfielder away from a top 4 or 5 squad.

Sort our home form Martin.

I am reading on some wbsite that Heinze at Man U is going out on loan to PSG maybe.
Maybe, blog head, we can arrange a swap with PSG for BAE. Any improvement?

IMO He's a cracking player.
Is he out of favour at MUFC?

Why would Man U wants a swap for ekotto ?If Hienze is available just buy him.

Malbranque is just we need. When he get to full match fitness, he would be awesome for us.Those incisive passing and run are what have been missing so far.

Thus might sound wierd but I got a sneaky feeling if we pair him up with Davids, we really have 2 terriers biting at the heels.I think Davids is missing someone like that to compliment him.

Of all the new guys, we have, Chimbonda is the best.Consistent both in Europe and Premiership. In the league and Dawson. We now have to find someone similar at the leftback position.Sad that bridge just signed a new contract.Maybe Chelsea want to fetch a higher price for him in Jan ?
