King injured

I recieved a text message on the way home from work today giving me the worst possible news - Ledley King had broken his leg. Just got home and checked with the usual reliable sources on FTL and COYS and they had heard earlier today that he had indeed broken his leg with him being rushed to hospital from the training ground. However news coming through now is that the leg is not broken but he has an injury - it could be bruising or ligamnet trouble and he is now expected to miss the UEFA cup match on Thursday.

Thankfully though, it does not appear to be as worse as it sounded at lunchtime.

COYS!

i really cant believe our luck at the moment - in many of our games chances that players from other teams would easily take are being wasted nearly every time!! now with ledders out, berbs out, lennon out n malbranqeu i really cant see us starting to put a run of form together till 2007. yes players will start to come back from injury in the next 3 weeks or so but then the whole 'the players need time to gel' thing/excuse will come straight back to haunt us when things dont go right. really couldnt have foreseen this about 3-4months ago!! :(

Yes, blame injuries and rotten luck for the shocking start you have had.

Just remember - you signed Malbranque injured so no sympathy there, you have spent so much money on front players that a 2 week injury to some pretty boy up front is hardly a major problem and if you are requiring an 18 year old to play the full season without injuries then you are in for a long hard slog.

You over achieved last year and you all know it. And you still didn't manage to come above us in our worst season for many years. And the gap is widening again - proof being our two respective results at Old Trafford. And if it is injuries you are harping on about - we won at Old Traff without Henry, Van Persie, Clichy, Senderos, Lauren and Diaby... 6 players of which 4 could have been first teamers.

And also - the coys thing - it is so stupid... get over the moaning and accept you are an average Premiership team who over achieved last year and still only got UEFA cup football.

good points well made.

but despite this, given a choice between an under achiever failure of a club or a club tarnished with child abuse and rape allegations i would pick the failures every time.

oh yes, we are tarnished... a really good point well made. I think everyone in world football sees a tarnished club due to spurious allegations made 10 years ago... oh, and if the rape allegations are regarding Van Persie, then again, wonderful point seeing as he was proved innocent.

Clever reasoning from coys. Seriously, you dont think that coys is a little silly?

Typical of you cretins resorting to the only shit you can think of.

Child abuse. ?

The only abuse in north london is the abuse suffered by spurs fans thru 40 years of suffering watching team after team under achieving.
Abuse suffered by you losers whilst Arsenal and Chelsea go further away from you in every respect.

Arsenal playing sublime winning football .
Arsenal claiming your title as the entertainers.
Chelsea winning titles in succesion and buying the players you can only dream of.
You are a deluded bunch who live in the past still claiming you are a big club.

Rape allegations, by the way, were thrown out in court unlike the nasty fetid stink of allegations about some of your boys involved in "Roasting "

Hopefully you will soon break the unenviable record of the longest run of prem matches without a goal.

We stand a chance of winning the UEFA cup and qualifying for europe again if Sprei is promoted. Give him a chance Martin!

Harry I suggest you re-read the original post -I reported the info I heard through the day.

King was 100% definate rushed to Holy House Hosiptal in Buckhurst Hill yesterday. It now appears that is was probably just precautionary and took part in light training today.

This info was posted in complete good faith - I trust the info I got and the same websites I frequent - FTL and COYS also have the same info - if you went on these sites you would see it.

Everything on "The Shelf" is either my own opinion or iformation given in good faith. Cole was happening until a dodgy medical, we did go for Duff and Downing as reported on here - it was not my fault it collpased. We did get Zokora, as posted on here weeks before with pictures as proof amd I said Mido was coming back weeks before he did.

I have never made anything up to get people to visit. If you don't like then don't come and visit - its no skin of my nose if you don't come and post on here.

Jol sweating on King fitness
By Lewis Rutledge - 27 Sep 2006

Martin Jol has revealed that Ledley King is a doubt for Tottenham's Uefa Cup clash against Slavia Prague.

Spurs hold a slender 1-0 advantage going into Thursday's second leg, but they may have to do without captain King.

"We have to make two or three changes, but that is a fact of life," Jol told Sky Sports News.

"Ledley King will fly tomorrow, but we will have a late fitness test on him."

The 25-year-old defender missed the first few games of the season following knee surgery in the summer, but Jol refused to confirm that he was being troubled by the same knee.

"He was fine after the operation, and he played all the games, so it could be," he remarked.

"Ledley played three games last week, then he played against Liverpool and he was fine.

"But after that he got a bit of inflammation in his knee so hopefully it will settle down."

Heard thru a club medic that Led will need an op on his dodgy knee which will sideline him for upto 3 months. Also Lennon is responding well and should be ready by xmas.

Berbatov injury is a mystery and may keep him out for another 3 games.
Concern about Zokora. May have chipped a bone in is wrist.
