Spurs Vs. Bolton

Bolton have won the last 6 against us and it is today that we have to put an end to that record and beat them to continue our advance to 4th place and, hopefully, Champions League football next season. However Fat Sam has already stated he would settle for a point so expect the usual Bolton tactics of time wasting from the first minute and long ball stuff. The key man to stop will be Nolan if he plays as he has the ability to damage teams with goals and assists himself. Thankfully the disgraceful Diouf will not be playing.

For Spurs expect Gardner to lineup with Dawson with Stalteri and Lee alongside them. In the middle will be Carrick and Tainio with probably Murphy and Lennon. Keane and Defoe to continue up front.

what has happened to ghaly? he arrived played a couple of reserves matches and seems to have disappeared - considering we are short in midfield u would have thought it would be the perfect time for him??

If you look on the spurs website he is not listed as a player.

he does not even have a squad number, any ideas whether he's even at our club anymore????

I think i read that Ghaly is in the squad today, he has played 3 times for the reserves i think. I would like to see Murphy today, i think he's got Spurs written all over him, hopefully he has settled now!

Don't be silly, play ghaly when he has not kick a ball all season in the league? It will be a massive gamble.
There is more likelyhood of huddlestone playing than Ghaly. We will see more of the Eyqptian next season.

A great win for us today, I predict an Arse draw at Sunderland tomorrow!
Congratulations for rounding off a super season (& fantastic home record) in which i can honestly say we competed in every single game i watched even when they did not play so well, which is a first for me. Lots of heart in this squad!!!

I would like to say well done today to Robinson, Stalteri, Dawson, Gardner (what - i know!), Lee (much better once they put gardner on Davies for deadball situations), Lennon (M.O.M - what a star), Carrick, Keane & Barnard (when he came on we finally had some presence and bite up front - he looks a prospect to me) for having great games today to see us through..! Davenport and Reid contributed when they came on too.

I thought Murphy was shite first half but got better, although why Huddlestone wasnt preferred when we needed physical presence is a mystery. I dont think he will be at Spurs next year, as he will not get in front of the other better players we already have in midfield.

Tainio battled hard but in effective in a creative sense most part, which is unusual - however it was Bolton (the better at passing new Wimbledon.

I would really like to discuss your thoughts on Jermaine Defoe, as i thought it was another bad performance from him. Barnard showed what a bit of passion can do - whereas defoe looked like a little boy playing a mans game. He walked a lot when we really needed his all (as he did against arsenal and man utd when we really needed him) I think he has potential - but unless Martin can make him understand that he plays for the team, and the team do not play for him, then he will always be a selfish one trick pony who's only thought is to receive a pass, make space for himself for an instinctive snap shot. he cannot hold the ball up, often makes the wrong decisions on build up play, lacks composure in front of goal, and will NOT play someone else in even if they are in a better position. He also does not know where to run to find the channel/space fir himself. He looks like a man already going alsewhere at the end of this season so hopefully we do flog him whilst we can still get some money for him - and put that into the pot to buy a top class striker that really wants to play for the mighty spurs.

what do you guys think?

Got gut feel they will win against barc. think their names onthe cup.

Stalteri was SHIT as usual, got badly caught out 'the customary' few times, fortunately we got away with it. Get rid of him asap, on a free, whatever.

Getting away with it, also was the pen (dawson tackle), but like someone mentioned on radio on the drive home, we had a perfectly good goal (defoe ) disallowed at their pad, so what goes around, eh!.....nice to get the rub isn't it!!

When is Gardner 'the midget' ever gonna win a header??!!!!

Murphy was rubbish, but unlike stalteri, I put that down to rustiness.

Where's Tommy Gun Huddlestone?
Hope he is more involved next year.

Lennon is our shining star, absolute gem, complete steal (1m) and potentially something very very special.

Barnard made a great impression in only his second sub appearance & looks a good prospect...........long time coming too.

Great atmosphere although i had to sit in East Upper instead of my usual south lower blk 35........ PARKLANE FOREVER!

Keano is a legend in the making!

Hamsters next, and even without key spurs players available i am confident of a victory esp as the Spammers have minds on FA Cup.

So CL qualifiaction should be ours esp as the scum HAVE to win all their games and hope we fuck up................and there's the little game v Barca, fookin Gooner cunts, can't wait for their dreams to die and have a shit first season in their financially crippling half-full stadium to look forward too.............with NO HENRY, Get In !!

How it would be soo sweet, please, if there is a god......!!!

Jesus was a jew

Busy summer heading & it will be soo much more enjoyable knowing what awaits next season

A summer getting rid of the players who are not good enough, stalteri, reid, gardner & co. With players like these in our teams we will never be challenging for TOP honours, a few additions which have been well documented, 2 Fullbacks (esp Right), Left Winger & Striker (or 2 if Mido is gone) and bring it on!

So we can safely say that we have exceeded expectations this year, in the league anyway and i will challenge anyone who would have predicted our current circumstances. So our cup exits are not that painful anymore and are but just a distant memory (along with Rasiak, pheeew!)

We're all going on a European Tour, a European Tour, a European Tour......

Up the Spurs

Mine's a pint (& a Ronaldinho special)

Cheers

to the guy who was slagging off Defoe i couldn't DIS-AGREE with you more. I think you must be talking about someone else because you have got it all wrong.

Defoe is a confidence player and he just lacks that at the moment. Defoe has improved his overall game and this has just been a bad season stats-wise, thats all.

I feel there is so much more to come from Defoe and i hope we see it next season (in Europe too, where he is less known by defenders!)

One things for sure, it will be interesting to see if he is at WHL though next season?

I hope so.

who cares how we played really all that mattered was the win and we got it, well stole it if we are completely honest. The boys looked a bit nervous in the first half and towards the end of the game but this is down to experience which we now have in dealing with this type of pressure. Bolton played well they are an effective team but BMJ sussed them out and took care of things for us in the second half and we woke up. One more game to go against the spammers and weve done it. Great season all round very proud of what we have done long may it continue. BMG is a legend.

We played well...yesterday game and the game againsts gooners seem to suggest Carrick is more than holding player. He could be the complete stuff, our own Gerrard our own Viera...I never know he is capable of mazy dribbles but when he do it it usually hurts the opponents. Some he says that with Tanio in the team we seems to do well.B'cos when we have Tanio who sometimes do the holding,Carrick can bomb forward.

Read this comment from Wenger about CL qualifications,

Arsenal manager Wenger, however, would rather see Europe's governing body allow both clubs in.

He said: "I feel the rules are clear from the beginning of the season. We have not made the rules, we respect the rules.

"If they [UEFA] can make an exception for Tottenham, why not? But the rules have been clear like that - and at the moment, we can still finish fourth."

What a hypocrite...he knows that the rules would not be bend this time and rub it it by saying the rules are clear.

Its none of his business and he should stay clear of comments that would inflame feelings on both sides.Give me Big MJ anytime. He is a gentleman and all spurs fans should be proud of him.

The UEFA decision not to change the rules to accomodate us if the gooners win CL is b'cos the power of the G-14, which we are not part of.
Last year, UEFA changed the rules b'cos Liverpool is part of that G14 group. You bet if the iituation has been reversed; i.e. if gooners is in 4th plc and we win the CL,those mugs in UEFA would conveniently change the rules again !
