I remember Pires diving to get a peanlty against Portsmaout a couple of seasons ago. In there unbeaten season. They would not have been unbeaten but for that penalty. Wenger/Arse... are whining as usual. Every time it doesn't go their way they cry cry cry. They are an utter imbarresment to football, and Wenger is the most pathetic one of them all. How are spurs cheats - NO TEAM would put the ball out of play when two members of the opposite team are so inept as to run into each other!! especially when one gets up and the other tells the ref he's OK.
After all If that became the norm then every time a team got into your half on an attacking run you do the same just to allow your players to get back.

To 6.36. Just because you rested afew players does not make it your second team. And we had a fair few key players missing for us also. Yes, we only drew 1-1, but you know deep down we should have been four up at half time. We controlled the whole game and made you look shit live on tele in what was your last ever derbie at Highbury against us. I bet that pisses you right of, hehe. You wanted to win that as much as any, and are all just frustrated that you are not half as good as you may have been afew years ago. Oh, and your best player is off in the summer. 4th place should be a done deal surely, especially if we play like we did against Arsenal (who were very fortunate to get a draw).

To the A*****l fan who said we're shameless cheats, cheating infers breaking the rules, we did not break any rules of the game in scoring our goal. However, Adebayor broke the rules of the game by fouling Stalteri in the build-up to the equaliser, so if either goal was cheating, it was actually yours. And also to those citing the Sheffield United match which A*****l had replayed, the circumstances were different - United had put the ball out of touch so one of their players could get treatment and Kanu scored from the A*****l throw instead of returning the ball to United.

Maybe i can provide a bit less of a bias view on the game....
-You totally outplayed us in the first half, we were shit and very disjointed, AW made too many changes, should've played at least one of henry or Fabregas
-Anyway, spurs created the chances but couldnt finish them, we had a few too but were not good upfront. Van Persie still rusty and Adebayor just plain shit!
-2nd half more of the same until Eboue, Henry & Fab came on. We started to control the game, but then you scored.
-The goal in my opinion may not have been very sportsmanlike but then i can see why Carrick etc carried on play, it was really down to the ref to blow the whistle which he should've done. Wenger went slightly OTT and i was slighhtly embarrassed but in the heat of the moment people get agitated! lol!
-Anyway, we ended up equalising with a superb goal by that man Henry (who in my opinion will stay but who knows!)
Overall i think a point each was fair, forget the controversies! Its all in the past. You didnt cost us fourth place, we did that by losing so many bloody away games! Partly due to injuries, mainly due to not having enough experienced players in the team.
I think you will get fourth, you should beat Bolton and definitely West Ham as they will have one eye on the FA cup final.
We will get to the final (hopefully) and anything can happen in one game! Oviously hope we win it and get CL football next year, but would be harsh on Spurs (i'd be well pissed if it happened to us and i bet Wenger would complain too!)

Well at last.....a sensible and balanced comment from an Arsenal fan. Thank you. Over the course of a season every club has moments of joy and despair and fundamentally I don't believe professional footballers are cheats because they will soon be found out and their reputations smashed. Sure, they all have passion and that's good.
Spurs have had a better season than for many years but we still have improvement in us. I thought we led the game UNTIL we scored, then seemed to sit back and let Arsenal dictate play. To be considered a really great team, we've got to learn to put teams to the sword and put 1,2 or 3 more goals passed our opposition.
As for Wenger and co, the pressure is clearly getting to them. They have a massive game this week and I am torn between wanting a British team to play in the CL Final (and then watching Barca thrash them) or wanting to see Villareal go through. The nasty part of me wants to see the Gooners teased by getting to Paris and then snatch it awayf rom them, with our 4th spot secured.
By the way, along with around 120 Yids from all around Australia, we watched the game live in Sydney at out annual National Spurs Convention. We have the biggest English team supporters club in Australia, known as Ozspurs.

I'd like to congratulate Rob above on a reasoned and fair post. This is the kind of debate that makes these blog chats and/or real conversations worth having. The rage and abuse is all very well in the heat of the moment inthe stands, in the pub etc. But actually discussing (with some well-chosen banter perhaps) is far more interesting and satisfying.
Certainly Arsenal have been very poor away this season and Spurs have been very consistent (not lost two games back-to-back for example). Overall, Spurs have just about deserved to finish above Arsenal.
On the debate about the goal - two players falling over does not mean play should stop, and the referee clearly didn't think there was a problem.
One point i disagree with you on, Rob, the result of the NLD has clearly been the decider for 4th place for several weeks now, despite the form of the sides in the earlier stages.
