Mido, donkeys and Rasiak

Mido has been thrown out of the Egypt squad after a storming row with his coach. In the row Mido told his coach that he was a donkey. His coach replied "No, you are the donkey!" I suspect that Mido and his coach were mixing each other up for Rasiak. Neverhteless Mido is on his way home and could be available for Sunday's trip to Sunderland.

In other news Rasiak is off to the south coast's Premier Club, Southampton to assist in their further drop towards Division 3 in old money. I'd like tot hank Rasiak for raising my blood pressure with his inability to jump or run in matches against Leicester and Fulham.

Below is a great video by Ralph from Glory Glory.

Rasiak Video

Everyone at The Shelf would like to thank Rasiak for his services.

That is great news on Mido if that is true. Even better news on Rasiak, surely one of, if not the, worst signings we have ever made. Obvious that Lee will get his chance now...

In all fairness,it was not his decision to bring him in a last minute deal was it? Jol and Levy took a chance on the player who scored 19 league goals in a season and frankly when you see his goals from last season for Derby they were pretty good goals as well, also being an international anyone could have been sold to Rasiak easily as a last resort option, and so did Jol..apparently it was a case of Feyenoord not being able to sign a replacement for Kuyt and the deal falling through forced Jol and Levy to take a chance on the last possible alternative on their big tall good supposed to be in the air striker.Unfortunately Jol probably realised that Rasiak could not possibly head the ball or was not even good enough to hold the ball up,let alone scoring goals..But lets be fair to Jol he will get the £2 milllion he laid out for Rasiak back from Southampton,so apart from being dumped out of the cup and missing a couple of half decent chances against Fulham and a disallowed goal against liverpool Jol realised that he actually had dropped a clanger here, but at least recovery was possible..Lets welcome back Mido with open arms and thank god for the donkey who took him off yesterday and expelled him from the team..lets hope he plays and scores a hat trick on sunday dedicating his goals to that egyptian donkey with no personality.

We are being touted as racist fans on the Guardian website for singing the clever but incorrect songs below however I never heard them sung on Sunday, anyone else

This is it to the tune of Lord of the Dance: Sol, Sol, wherever you may be/You're on the verge of lunacy/And we don't give a fuck if you're hanging from a tree/You Judas cunt with HIV."

No wonder he sent it rather than sang it. To its credit, it is a brilliantly tight verse, addressing any number of prejudices in four little lines. There's something to offend everybody here - the mentally ill, HIV sufferers, gay people, women, with an allusion to racist lynching thrown in for good measure.

When the White Hart Lane faithful tired of this chant they reverted to the following classic ...

"He's big/He's black/He takes it up the crack/Sol Campbell, Sol Campbell."

I'm with the egyptian manager. Mido did nothing all game and his replacement scored with his first touch. What's to argue about? Although he's been pretty good for Spurs this season I can't help feeling Mido is a tad overrated by some of our fans and has been by the Egyptian supporters up til now. I wonder how long his self-control at Spurs will last once we buy that elusive top drawer centre forward? And I wonder if he'll be natural first choice? Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming he's no good. Just that his form appears exaggerated due to the lack of form of those around him. He didn't have a particularly good African Nations. Hope he makes up for it between now and the rest of the season.

Go on the Spurs!

yeah el i totally agree with that. how will he feel being dropped ? not sure he could handle it. but we need another target man because even if we keep mido we need cover as has been proved when mido was away . i think carrick was man of the match sunday - quality player
really pleased how he has settled in . just quietly gone about his business but now u couldnt drop him" future england regular for sure. UP the yids hope we beat sunderland we should have 2 much for them! but they played well at our place this year so u never know. rashyid

Personally I'll be disappointed if we don't hammer them 4 or five nil as we haven't really hammered anyone this season. Read the stats, their form is diabolical. Nothing against sunderland you understand but I'd really like to see us putting it together from start to finish, improving our goal difference over woolwich and keeping a clean sheet. Having said all that I'll take a lucky 1-0 win if that's what it takes. Lets hope they don't use us to stop the rot like Leicester did.

I'd love to see Carrick do it for England but at that level players have to be physically dominating as well as skillful and I'm not sure if Carrick has that in him. I reckon Huddlestone does however, along with all the skills Carrick possesses.

fuzzy yido i disagree with :

"Thats Arsenal fan stuff that... dont lower yourselves to there level"

we are not lowering ourself to any level just having fun at sols expence ? u must have a short memory if u think its harsh? walking out on spurs to your biggest rivals and not getting a penny for him now thats harsh!!!!

mido will feature on sunday! and i think he may play defoe to partner him. i bet mido scores! rashyid

not sure you have to be physically dominating its all about getting the right balance . ie players like tainio and davids are the ball winners and carrick , jenus ect are the creators and skill every top team in the world had skill in the midfield and there not overly physical . sorry 2 disagree. huddlestone look ok needs time to forfill his potential but will he get that time? rash yid

Sol is a wanker too making you lot a match made in heaven for lying and leaving the club that made him what he was before he left and not even getting the club something back for him. Posted the original comment about the Guardians comments and agree with the last post. Lets all Email that P**** but not lower ourselves and the club by resulting to obscene language. Spurs are and always have been a proud club who will respect their roots and their followers. Let Simon whoever go and sit with his mate Bosnich in the sad brigade.

With regard to the CL great result for Charlton tonight after we stuffed them for 65 minutes on Sunday, look at Liverpools and scums fixtures and we have a real chance of possibly making third.

Welcome home Mido we love you ML is no donkey

Sven look at Carrick he is the missing piece for Englands world cup victory

As for the scum why are you reading our forums probably cas most scum fans can,t write on theirs, shit side only two scum players I would take are both off to Spain in the summers....losers

Arsescum fans must be hurting by knowing that they are not going to be in the CL next season. They are not good enough and by missing out on CL they are kissing goodbye to a cool £20 million which means they are also waving goodbye to their extra £1 million a week gate receipts,so next seasons gate profit will be wiped out by finishing 6th and unless man u or chlescum win the FA cup that wont be enough to be in UEFA either..dont worry you little scum,we will wave at you from eurostar on our way to CL games.

With us having a full squad and a mini slump from 2 of our closest rivals; Liverpool and Gooners... maybe.... just maybe we could snatch 3rd spot !
Guys, Liverpool has a heavy schedule coming up and Gooners is involved in the CL.We could pounce on their indifferent form and heavy schedule to race ahead...the following weeks is going to be exciting...I just hope the team hodl their nerves

If we could go unbeaten for the rest of the season; not a unreasonable target given our quality now... with 7 wins and 6 draws that is equal to 71 points end of the season. That going by the recent year stats means a 3rd or 4th place finish...

Achievable ? I think so.

Both of our transfer targets are hitting doubles for their respective clubs; Torres & Kyut...the mind boggles at the thought of them joining us.They are sheer class.
Anyone saw Torres in action against Barca ?I did, he was majestic isn't it? Not just the goals but also the way he lead the forward line...

Lets get the CL spot and Torres !

The resukt at Charlton last night reflec well on The Yids. We rolled them over but Liverpool couldn't put one past them.
Jolly's got quite the selection headache this weekend. Should Mido walk straight back into the team after we scored three in the ast game? And how fucking good is Tom Huddlestone?!?!? I think it's got to the point now where having Davids out isn't too bit a deal. Carrick, JJ, Huddlestone, Lennon. That is fucking awesome....

Whatever Jol preference in attack is, he owe it to Keane and Defoe to stick with the last attacking strike partnership.Anway, Mido is not fully fit and ain't in the right frame of mind.He would get his chance latter on in the game against Sunderland.

We must keep playing Defoe for 2 reasons 1) He is still our best finisher or for that matter possibly in the EPL

2) If we don't play him now till end of the season, we just as well sell him to Liverpool cos' they wanted him more badly than we do.

Like most Spurs fans, I wasn't overly bothered by Mido's toys-out-of-the-pram drama-queen stuff in Cairo (just imagine him trying to pull that crap with MJ back here). But what did concern me was the guy's waistline. He's been away 2-3 weeks and looks like he's been tucking into his mum's home cooking and put on about 10 pounds. He certainly looked sluggish in Friday's match. Maybe it's the groin injury. Still quicker that poor old Greg Ratsarse anyway. But where has the new found self-discipline of the summer gone?

I agree with the above comment, JJ, Carrick, Huddlestone and Lennon is top stuff!!! Tanio and the Davids as well, CL is looking good. Still think we could do with a left winger in the same mould as Lennon tho.

Not sure if this is wishful thinking but i reckon if the arse don't qualify for CL this year their Fucked!

Terry Henry will surely go to Barca and we all know (including all at Scumbury) their becoming a 1 man team. If Henry's gone their really no better than 6-7 in the prem. Hopefully the arse will be in the "transitional" stage for many years to come!!!!!!!

Lennon for the England right wing after Sven is gone (we all know he'll never tire of sucking Beckham's member). Arron in my opinion should have the right wing over the Wright Phillips for many many years to come.

JJ, Carrick, Huddlestone and Lennon is not only top stuff... but also there are all English.Just imagine them in the CL, we can proudly present a "real" english team for once. One I gather would even get the support of all English fans.
Though I'm getting ahead of myself...add a world class striker into the mix.Tell Wayne Bridge to forget about his career at SB and join us next season.Maybe Hargreaves at RB for us.And push the fantasy a bit further, Joe Cole on the left wing....WHL is in 7th heavens....I can dream can I....

think we should play mido sunday he may have something to prove?
even though defoe and keane played well against charlton ( not the biggest defenders) thats just one game on the whole mido as been very effective for us all season. As for huddlestone think he has alot of learningand experience to be as good as davids! looked ok - dont think he was outstanding by any means - carrick different class , be good to see the pitball back weve missed his bite in the middle - think we will win sunday UP THE YIDS rashyid
