Discuss this idiots performance here Take 2

It appears Rob Styles has been at it again after performing like he was the Russian's lap dancer. However looking back to last season we can see that Styles has form!

Watching this on TV tonight in Canada, makes me wonder when the investigation into match fixing in the UK will get going. Noone believed it could happen in Germany, either.

The problem with Styles game was not necassarily the sending off. 25% of referees would have done the same. It was his inconsistancy. Defoe got penalized for baking up - Bollox! Ried got done for the same whilst he was in control of the ball and got booked for getting upset - Bollox! Esien should possibly have had a red card for his trip on Davids 40 - 50% refs would have sent him off. He then got a good talking to for his challenge on Davids. That should have been a second yellow - Double Bollox. I think that a fairer ref would have 1 Not pulled up Defoe and Reid. 2 Yellow card for Eisens trip. 3 Yellow card for Mido (and a strong word) 4 Second yellow for Esien. Hard line referees are OK but they must be consistent!!!
By the way, anyone notice how Styles stopped smiling and talking to the players after the Mido incident? He also handed us an extra 2 mins of injury time before the interval. STYLES FUCKED UP AND KNEW HE DID.

Does anyone also remember our season opener against Brum 3 seasons ago? Gardner supposed to have pulled a snotty welsh tosser in the box and we lost to Brum with that penalty that nowhere near was in fact a penalty, and as a matter of fact it was savage holding onto gardner.Guess who the referee was that day? Yes, Rob styles refereeing was inconsistent and he spoilt the game. The elbow is a 50-50% red card; you can give the benefit of doubt to the offender or apply the rules strictly to the book. On this occasion for a match of this magnitude, he should applied some common sense only 15 mins into the game, give Mido a yellow as Del Horno was not serious injured and do not spoilt the game as a spectacle.
Truly lack of common sense.
Read a good article on Spurs performance yesterday in the Telegraph and the reporter spoke of another problem that belongs to club like spurs compared to chelsea.
We are always employing players with a history, born losers who can get into trouble at the twinkle of the eye.
You know guys who promises a lot but somehow lack the metal edge to fulfill their great potential.Gardner, Gascoigne, Hoddle now Mido.
Is it our mind playing tricks on us that we heard about his on and off field problems before spurs and now this sending off ?
Why ? and why spurs ?
You look at guys like Merkele & Terry.Professionals that pefformed day in day out without a blip. Are they more talented than Mido..No...
While we can blame the referee, its sad to note that that the difference between us and them. The mental edge.

As a long suffering
Spurs fan from New Zealaand I started this year full of hope, I get up at 3 am in the morning, turn on Sky and what do I see. A bloody referee who was running from a full 20 mtrs away from the wrong side of the so called foul waving a red card. English football might as well be played by 22 Mr Blobbies, Go for a header with your hands in your shorts and fall down. Any way for all you real Spurs fans I like what I have seen this year. I like the young players performance and I really think we are on the way back. Go the Spurs I will be watching full of hope at 3am in the morning

I hope styles gets whats coming to him that Chelski loving tosser. He could not wait to get his red card out to send mido off when surely a yellow would have been sufficient. Yet when Essien is bringing down players (especially Davids) all over the place (because he is such a usless piece of 25 million crap) Styles sees fit to give him a yellow card and talk to him 5 times about how he should calm down and meet him in his dressing room after the game!! What a prick this guy cost us in the fa cup last year against newcastle yet nobody seems to take a blind bit of notice, surely somebody has to investigate this worthless excuse for a person as his all round performance yesterday was just diabolical and unfortunately it wasnt the first time and i fear it wont be the last.

check that motherfucker's bank account. he had probably placed a bet on chelsea to win with william hill or ladbrokes. if not he'd probably took some bribe from somebody.

it's very sad to see big games like these being refereed so inconsistently. remember mendez's goal at old trafford????

so what the fuck has the english FA been doing? making a fine salary for warming up their seats??? screw them all. look at the english game. it's a disaster.

Wan't that Clattenburg?

Going back to yesterday - Either Stles was nobbled (either on the take, or had been threatened? - 3am call to the family home not unheard of) or he is grossly incompetent.

Either way he is no longer fit to do his job and must be fired.

It was his mishandling of the Davids incident (i.e Essien's red); Droghba's double dive (2 yellows?) and Gardeners ridiculous yellow, all of which happened in 5 minutes that got Mido
worked up in the first place. That level of incompetence had to result in either a red card or a broken leg.

I fully endorse Nigel Marshall's comments except that any investigation would surely be tampered with.

I believe Mido's challenge may of been worth a yellow card but definitly not a red. Rob Styles:POOR SHOW.

It was aggravating for Styles to destroy the game like that.
The call was ludicrous. I wouldnt say it was innocuous but it certainly didnt deserve a Red Card.
I would say most refs would have given a Yellow.
The other point is that,up to that point we didnt look especially good.We were chasing the ball and not really in control of it and Davids was a half a pace off,and so lost the ball quite a bit.
You could see feel his intensity though
Now when Chelsea can put on SWP and Crespo as subs, what hope is there.
