Why we should go to the FA.

According to the latest press reports the Russian mafia and ourselves are still in discussions over a compensation package for Arseholsen as he has made it very clear that he is off to Chelsea. If we do accept compensation from them then we will not be able to launch an offical complaint to the FA. This would then allow Arnesen to go to Chelsea immediatly with all the details of what is going on at Spurs.

Judas

The other route is to go to the FA. They would inevitably punish Chelsea but that would gain us very little. However Arnesen would be forced to serve his notice as "Garden Leave". Assuming the board were not stupid enough to give him a 1 month notice period it would mean that when Frank did eventually join the Mafia then he wuld have less information on what is happening at Spurs and the sorts of contracts our best players are on.

I would prefer to see Spurs send every last ounce of information to the FA as soon as possible as we have a duty to discourage the Russians from thinking they can get away with murder. However the compensation on offer may be too tempting to resist. Latest rumours flying around are cash and a player - maybe Parker or Carlton Cole. Another one mentioned is Glen Johnson. However with Kelly and Ifil around it would seem a stupid move to sign a right back no better than we already have.

COYS!

Hmmm...its a tough one. I think id take the money (1o million is thought to be the amount) and then enforce the no more poaching under arnesen rule. ie. no spurs players can move to chelsea whilst arnesen is over there.

Hmmm... Regarding Arnesen taking information to Chelsea about Spurs players and potential Tottenham traget - I thought that legally (if he is a director) he owes a fiduciary duty to the club which under the Companies Act prevents him from benefitting himself or his future employers with any information that came to him when he held a position at Spurs (not sure how you could enforce this though). For example, if you learn of a lucrative contract available, you cannot resign from one job where you heard about it and reap the benefits in a new job.

Someone who wants to better themselves at a better club, one that has a chance for trophies rather than one in a consistent 'transitional period'. Lose to Spurs? Yeah once every ten years in the Carling Cup.... Really your rants (and use of the English language) is pathetic.

And yet your support is still laughable. 120K turned out to see the Prem trophy paraded and you had to advertise CL games this season!

Chelsea = West Ham with money

i think it is a disgrace that people come on this website and use such bad comments, but i guess this is someone's first time so we shall give you a warning but there will be no fine young chap like chelsea which is the discusion at the moment, and personaly i think spurs should do clubs around the premirship a favour and request an offical complaint to the fa.

Not long ago, I posted a comment that the Arnesan-Jol axis would be perfect IF Mr Levy concentrate on increasing our financial muscles.
Daniel Levy is a clever man, if you understand the business side of his dealings which I have briefly read in non-footballing websites.Joe Lewis, his business partner is the second richest man in football after Abramovich.
There is no point crying foul over the arnesan saga for if we were chelsea fans, we would have applauded in glee.

The answer for spurs lies in getting finacial strength and momentum to challenge the heavyweights.Arsenal is planning for that with their mega stadium, while we are are waiting for incremental improvements; as is during the sugar era.The results are perpetual changes without much stability.
