Jol's Rallying Call

Martin Jol has made a rallying call to the Spurs faithful insisting he is looking forward to the start of the new season.

He told the official site:

"“Of course the news about Frank Arnesen is a big disappointment, but I want to reassure fans that there is a lot to anticipate and we already have our plans in place for this season.

"“We finished last season on an optimistic note and I am determined that we stay that way," says Martin.

"The teamwork here is such a big feature at Spurs and that impressed me from day one.

"We move on and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again at the Lane at the start of the new season."”

This is great news and something all Spurs fans wanted to hear. Whether he is appointed manager or stays as head coach under a new director of football is unclear but the fact that he is staying put should put the players and fans at ease. It is also pleasing to see that Arnesen's greedy defection to the Russian cheats should not affect our summer transer plans.

David Pleat has also weighed into the argument calling Frank Arnesen disloyal to Tottenham and only interested in his wallet. No disagreement from me on that one.

In other news "The People" claim that Atouba, Kanoute and Mido will all be given heafty fines after refusing to go on the end of season tour to Mauritius. Mido is apparently going back to Roma. Good news all round then as this will mean that Robbie Keane has a good chance of staying with Spurs.

Keep the faith lads, Arnesen is just one man. If he doesn't want to be at Spurs then we don't want him.

COYS!

Quite Frankly (no pun intended) I feel the major improvements on the pitch are purely the result of Jols coaching ability. I don;t doubt Arnesen has been successful in securing a lot fo top young talent but unless Jol is capable of keeping a large talented young squad happy by showing improvement on the pitch the group of players will become disillusioned and troublesome. Screw Frank and his Roman Gold, Long live the Dutch Revolution. The Frank is Dead long live the Jol. Jol for Manager!

Chelsea are the dark side of football. Everyone should boycott and shun them wherever possible.

I don't know where this leaves our 'two-track' system in terms of bringing in young players but I do agree that Jol has made a huge impact.

If I had to choose which man of the two to lose from the club it would have been Arnesen.

Arnesen is not the be-all and end-all. Full support must be given to Martin Jol now - there's no reason why we can't have a superb season.

And what better time to break our hoodoo against Chelsea on the pitch - bring it on...

Jol's the man, let's show some faith. It's not all over because Frank's decided to do one. We've still got a good squad and should see some additions this summer. Let's ditch this typical Spurs pessimism and trust the man to get the job done.

And as for Chelsea, there's only one man who can save football now. Vladimir Putin. Roman's mates are falling one by one and it's only a matter of time. Then it's bye bye Chelski. I want front row seats at that trial.
